For bloggers: grow your blog with the readers you already have

A small blog has two hard problems: new readers are expensive to reach, and the readers it already has are worth little to an ad network. Loopis connects the two. Your readers see labeled recommendations for other independent sites, and in return your posts are recommended on theirs.

Why this exists

Ad networks pay by volume, so a blog with a few thousand readers a month earns little from them. Link swaps and guest posts do bring readers, but each one is a conversation, a favor and a calendar entry.

Loopis turns that into something that runs by itself. Every reader who follows a recommendation from your blog earns you credit, and that credit is spent when another site sends a reader to you. Nothing is negotiated one site at a time: it all settles across the whole network every night.

What it does for your blog

  • Reads your posts and writes several short promotions for each, in your own language, using only what the post says.
  • Shows them on other members’ pages about the same topic. Matching uses the page, never the person reading it.
  • Learns which version works where and shows that one more often.
  • Shows other members’ recommendations on your blog, in your blog’s own font and colors, where you chose to put them.
  • Keeps a daily statement: how many readers you sent, how many you received, and what is left to spend.

What you get — and what you do not

You get readers: people who were reading something on the same topic, clicked a recommendation for your post, and stayed to read it.

You do not get cash today. What you earn is growth credit, a unit that only exists inside the network and can only be spent on receiving readers. Paid advertising, where sites earn money, is planned and not available yet.

As a starting assumption, for every 1,000 page views on your blog about 1 to 5 readers follow a recommendation, and you receive roughly the same number back. A blog with 10,000 page views a month should think in tens of new readers a month, not thousands.

What your readers see

A recommendation block that looks like part of your blog, marked as promoted, naming who is behind it, with a link that explains why it appeared. The mark cannot be removed. Nothing is stored on your readers’ devices and nothing is chosen based on who they are.

If nothing relevant is available, the space stays empty. An empty slot is better than an off-topic one.

How to start

  1. Enter your blog’s address on the home page. You see what we understood about it before you sign up.
  2. Sign in with your email and choose where recommendations appear by dragging a sample over a copy of your own page.
  3. Add one line of script to your blog’s head. The moment it loads on your domain, your blog is verified and you receive starting credit worth about 200 visits.
  4. Pick the posts you want more people to read and press start.

Questions

Which blogging platforms work?
Any platform that lets you add a script to the page head: WordPress (self-hosted), Ghost, Tistory, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify blogs, and anything you host yourself. Platforms that do not allow custom scripts, such as Naver Blog, Medium and Substack, cannot be connected.
Can I run it next to the ads I already have?
Yes. Loopis is a separate script and does not ask for exclusivity. Check that your other ad network’s own rules allow recommendation units on the same page.
Do I have to write or design the promotions?
No. They are written from your posts and laid out for every placement automatically. You can edit the wording, hide a version you do not like, or ask for a new set.
Will it work for a blog that is not in English?
Promotions are written in your blog’s language and shown on pages in the same language. The dashboard itself is available in English and Korean. How often you are shown depends on how many member sites share your language and topics, and the network is new.
What does it cost?
Nothing. You pay with attention your blog already has. Credit cannot be bought.
